And we all, with unveiled face, beholding the glory of the Lord, are being transformed into the same image from one degree of glory to another. For this comes from the Lord who is the Spirit. 2 Cor 3:18
Would you cover your face before looking into a mirror so you could see the same face you’ve covered? Doesn’t sound normal right?
In this path we’ve chosen, Christ is our perfect role model, the one we look up to in everything, that’s why we are called Christians anyways. He is the word of God. This Word I’d liken to a mirror, is one that we can look into to see how messed up or pretty we actually look.
Our visual sense must be uncovered, if we intend seeing ourselves In any mirror at all.
This mirror I’m talking of now is no ordinary mirror, and for that matter would require more than visual senses to see through.
One thing to note is the special effect this mirror has, it doesn’t just show us what we look like but also helps us reflect an image of our true self, just Incase were on the verge of loosing it, if not already lost.
So in effect, If we look pretty in this mirror we keep getting prettier beyond description, and if we are looking messed up this mirror helps us by transforming us into the perfect image, spotless and stainless – that of Christ.
As we continually behold the glory of the Lord with unveiled faces, as we bury our heads in His word, we are transformed gradually to be more and more like Him.
Then we also begin to reflect His glory for all men to see and give praise unto Him.
Before we get to the point of reflecting His glory, we must ensure that we take off anything that would prevent us from seeing our image in the mirror. So that we can stare into the mirror of God’s glory till we see His image reflected in us.
Bad news is, we can’t take of these by ourselves no matter how strong our muscles are.
But there is Goodnews. And that is Christ Jesus, It is Only in Christ, our blindfolds is taken away.
But how? all you need do is be willing and ready to surrender to Him withholding nothing.
Are you ready to let go and let God?
