We all want peace. Peace in our countries, with our friends, family and even in ourselves. People spend their whole lives working for peace but unfortunately peace isn’t achieveable it can only be received. Be blessed by today’s fragrance.
Scripture reading: “and the peace of God which surpasses all understanding will guard your hearts and your mind in Christ Jesus”. Philippians 4:7
True peace is a calm reassurance coupled with joy reaffirming the truth that God has your life under control. And that He is continuously yet mysteriously working to accomplish His purpose in your life. God knows your unfulfilled desires, disappointments and your failures. He can bring peace in your life in the midst of these challenges and that’s absolutely what He wants to do for you today if only you’d permit Him.
However, ironically, He brought us peace through an act that was not peaceful at all; the death of His Son, Jesus Christ. And as followers of Christ, we should be agents of peace, we must infect others with our peace and draw them closer to God as Jesus did for us.
Truth is, living a life of peace is a choice…you freely relinquish it when you allow your circumstances to cloud your vision and cause you undue concern. But God wants you to learn to trust His heart even when you cannot trace His steps.
Simply praying for God to grant you the perspective you need on your circumstance and also studying His word and allowing it to transform you leading you into all truth.
May you find peace amidst the violent storms in Jesus name, amen.
