Your Discomfort For Comfort.

Now I want you to know, brothers and sisters, that what has happened to me has actually served to advance the gospel… And because of my chains, most of the brothers and sisters have become confident in the Lord and dare all the more to proclaim the gospel without fear. Philippians 1:12&14

IT IS NOT AS IF GOD WAS TAKEN BY SURPRISE”. This Popular phrase mostly used on me by a good friend leads me on to say that things that should happen to a child of God revolves around God’s plans and not our needs, plans, or wishes.

Do you know one thing love boldly spells out to us? Discomfort for comfort.

Truly that is what Jesus showed us when He exchanged His beauty for our ashes.
And now in His steps…we walk.

In our passage today, we see that Paul, who has been through massive discomfort writes in the comfort of the fact that the things that inconvenienced him, happened for a good reason .

In other words God used his situation in furthering or advancing the gospel.

As Christians we should understand that the journey won’t be smooth throughout, and that a few or perhaps many times we’d have to go through things that normally won’t suit us but we still need to endure for the greater good.

I do believe that some peoples destinies are tied to other’s gifts.
You might be wondering why all sort of ‘problems and attacks’ are coming your way but today, know that it is because of what you carry.
Like the Apostle Paul, what he carried brought him some pain so that the destinies(people) tied to him would receive something greater.

Unless you wanna tell God to make you “useless” that way He can’t expect anything from you but since you’ve embraced all the privileges as a child would. Then you need to stop worrying when things seem not to be going according to your plan.

Only commit it to God in prayer together with thanksgiving and see God work out to fulfill His purposes in your life.

Pauls “chains” was to further the Gospel, have you found the reason for your “chains” yet?
It will all work for your good.
