SCRIPTURE : 2 Timothy 3:16-17
“All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness, so that the servant of God may be thoroughly equipped for every good work.”
“The bible is like a mirror, whenever we look into it, we realize how messed up or pretty we are.”
Do you remember the last time you rushed out of the house because you were extremely late and couldn’t even peep through the mirror for a second?
How comfortable and confident were you as you walked in town?
How did you also feel when you walk out without looking deep into the Word of God?
If your answer for the first question is very uncomfortable and the second is normal, then my dear, something ain’t right. You need to check it.
We spend hours in front of the mirror just so that we can decorate our faces and pimp ourself up so that we can walk with straight shoulders with our heads held high like Mr/ Miss universe.
We do all these physical checks and forget that to be thoroughly equipped to go through the day executing good works, we need a word from the Word.
That word will counter any negativity that comes your way leaving you conquering!
The Word of God teaches and directs us, the Word corrects and steady’s us.
Confirms our intentions and rebukes us when we sway off the righteous path.
But you setting out without looking through the perfect mirror, how do you walk confidently overcoming any negative thought that come hovering around your mind? Which weapon are you carrying to fight unseen battles?
“Before you look into that mirror, look deep into the Mirror.”
Thank you Lord, for my life and this message, from today, I promise to change my attitude towards your Word, even in my busyness remind me of the most important thing, to have fellowship with you, through your Word, in Jesus name amen.
